Local Campaign Success:  Medicare Office and HBF Office now open in Belmont.

Thank you to everyone who joined my campaign to ensure a Belmont Medicare Office opened before 2010.  I promoted the opening by 2010 after a series of Federal Government delays in the delivery of this important service.

The campaign was ultimately successful and the new office in Belmont Forum has been well received by the community.

During the campaign, many locals said they would also value an HBF office in Belmont Forum.

I immediately started working towards this and am pleased to say that, with the help of the community, a new HBF office has also been secured.  It opened in late November 2010.
 

I am in no doubt that our combined efforts have helped to ensure the opening of the medicare office by 2010 and the HBF office in November 2010.

It is a success story for the community.
